Report: Ubisoft Accidentally Reveals Next Assassin's Creed
Somebody at Ubisoft may consume pressed the wrong push button early, leaking entropy happening Assassinator's Creed: Revelations to the semipublic.
Accordant to a thread on NeoGAF, Ubisoft posted an update to the official Assassin's Creed Facebook page asking for "Likes" in order to reveal information on the next game in the series.
The Facebook update (which has since been hastily removed) included links to an visualize telling fans to "spread the word," and a Flash file (reportedly, anyway – I can't get information technology to load myself). Said Shoot file purportedly restrained the Assassin's Creed: Revelations logo you see hither, as well as the name "Altaïr" in Arabic language script. Altaïr, of course, was the protagonist of the original Assassin's Creed.
Now, whol of this info should be taken with an entire shaker of saltiness – while the image on Ubisoft's servers does indicate that the publisher is or so to uncover information along the side by side Creed, nothing else is concrete.
Even if we did extrapolate that this game returns players to the Crusades rather of the Renaissance-ERA Italy of AC2 and Brotherhood, we know nothing else. Revelations (assuming this is the actual name) could be a portable title the likes of Bloodlines, operating theater information technology could be a total-fledged console style like the tercet main games in the series. Heck, IT could be an iOS or Facebook title too, for whol we acknowledge.
One thing's for sure, though: If the unfit truly does bring back Altaïr, it shows that cipher likes bland ol' Desmond – not even Ubisoft.
